About Venito Garcia O’ohana Ki:
Venito Garcia was a living breathing O’odham Library. He carried a wealth of information and was known as a philosopher and historian. He was always willing to share O’odham history, culture, ceremonies, songs, and dances with O’odham youth, elders, student and any community member or outsider he encountered. He lived his life in Hickiwan. Venito lived to see the library named after him in 1981. We are honored to carry out his legacy within the library and support the community’s culture and information needs as he did.
The Venito Garcia Library provides access to electronic resources such as books, magazines, and newspapers via the internet with laptop, hotspot, or your mobile device. All O’ohana Ki: specialized literacy events and other programming is done with your *health and safety in mind. Library staff is committed to your information needs and we look forward to meeting you in your district to meet those needs.
