GRANTS and CONTRACTS
Purpose
The purpose of the Tohono O’odham Grants & Contracts office is to monitor and oversee the Nation’s grants and contracts, assists Accounting with financial management, and is a clearinghouse for all grant and contract activities and maintains a central depository for all contracts for the Tohono O’odham Nation.
Services Provided
Grants and Contracts is responsible for monitoring grants and contracts awarded to the Tohono O’odham Nation Executive Departments beginning with the application process, monitoring of the grant, closing out of the grant and serves as liaison between the funding agencies when communication and contact is necessary. Responsible for the financial management of the grant or contract to ensure costs reflected in the Accounting System of the Nation are allowable cost in accordance with the terms and conditions of the grant, preparation and submittal of reports when certified from Authorizing Official, reconciling accounts receivable, participates in the end of the year close-out, by preparing an annual grant analysis of all grant/contract accounts, participates in the A-133 Single Audit. Works closely with departmental programs, Accounting, Treasury and Executive.
Grants and Contracts is located north of the Tribal Administration Office between the Treasury Office and the Advocate/DOIT modular. We welcome programs by walk-in or appointment.
