COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES
Mission
To design, develop, implement and manage a comprehensive health and social services program that is responsive to the needs of, and effectively service, members of the Tohono O’odham Nation in harmony with the laws, cultural values and customs of the Nation. Services provided shall cover both prevention and treatment; shall address health and social service needs of the individual, the family unit and the community; and shall be offered at locations and in situations that create the least disruption in the individual’s or family’s life.
There are eight (8) programs within DCHS, each provides a unique service to the Tohono O’odham Nation. As of November 6, 2017, the Division of Community Health Services (DCHS) has a total of 34 employees with a total of 10 vacancies.
