
Mission
The mission of the Tohono O’odham Nation Veteran Affairs Office is to provide Tohono O’odham Veterans and their families with services and resources that will support and enhance their lives during and after their military service.
The program aims to support Veterans with their transition into civilian life.
Services
Benefits Counselor Appointments
We have teamed up with the Arizona Department of Veterans Services office in Tucson. Appointments can be made by calling our office to meet with counselor. The counselor comes every 2nd Friday of each month.
ADVS Counselors help with:
- Claims
- VA Enrollment
- Medical
- Pensions
Honor Guard
Honor Guard provides a flag folding & flag presentation, a 21 gun salute, and taps for veterans’ funeral services.
Required Documents:
- DD-214
- Death Certificate (If applicable)
- Military Discharge (Must not be Dishonorable)
Color Guard
Color Guard can be requested for the following:
- Anniversaries
- Events
- Parades
We also provide assistance with the following.
- Recovering Medals
- Requesting copy off DD-214 and Medical Records
- Discharge Upgrade request (DD-215)
- Resume Building
- Job Searching
- Finding Resources
- HUD-VASH Program
- Computer Availability
