As a sovereign Nation responsible for economic development, financial solvency and the general welfare of your Tohono O'odham members, the Tribal government must strike a balance between the immediate needs of the Tribe and investment in long-term sustainability. In order to establish a solid foundation for economic development and long-term sustainability, it is important to maximize the effectiveness, efficiency, and interactions between Tribal Leadership and the Economic Progress. We recognize that the process of developing a vibrant Indian Economy involves understanding and developing a vision and identifying and prioritizing the initiatives that will be required to achieve both short and long term goals.
