The Tohono O’odham Nation Rodeo & Fair “O’odham Wapkial Ha-Tas” welcomes visitors each February to Sells, Arizona, for a celebration that blends world-class Rodeo with living O’odham culture. First held on October 15–16, 1938, the event has grown into Southern Arizona’s longest-running All-Indian Rodeo, featuring top competitors alongside Pageantry of the Miss Tohono O’odham Nation and Miss Tohono O’odham Nation Rodeo Queen, a community traditions that span generations. In 2026 the Nation marks the 87th annual gathering, continuing a legacy that honors O’odham heritage and hospitality.
Across the fairgrounds you’ll find the traditional games like the Ha’a Races, Toka Tournaments, Men’s Traditional games, food & craft vendors, carnival rides, and cultural performances. The Rodeo arena will host the All-Indian Rodeo, including Jr, Masters, All Women, Wild Horse Race and O’odham Wapkial Team Roping events, Exceptional Rodeo and Employee Rodeo Challenge. A Parade is held in downtown Sells with floats, visiting Royalty, Dance groups from throughout Arizona. Also in downtown Sells there are Basketball Tournaments. The Rodeo & Fair has something for every age and interest and remains a signature occasion for the Nation to share its Himdag (way of life) with neighbors and guests, inviting everyone to experience the beauty, resilience, and community spirit of the Sonoran Desert people.
