Tohono O’odham Nation Department of Public Safety – Office of Emergency Management is highly encouraging parents and guardians of children between the ages of 2 and 11 years old to take advantage of identifying your young child with an ID wristband during this year’s Annual Rodeo and Fair. The ID wristband will have basic information such as; child’s name, parent/guardian name, and contact number. If you are separated from your child while at the Eugene P. Tashquinth Livestock complex the ID wristband will assist first responders to reunite the child with their parent/guardian.
- ID Wristbands will be available at the canopy located near the arts and crafts area.
- Separated children will be temporarily held at the DPS Incident Command Post for a short time until parents/guardians can be reached.
- If a parent/guardian cannot be reached, Child Welfare will be notified and the child will be placed into their care.
