Fire Management
Mission
The Tohono O’odham Nation Fire Management Program is responsible for the protection of life, property and natural and cultural resources of the Tohono O’odham Nation. This is achieved utilizing several methods to prevent, mitigate and suppress wildfires both natural and man-made.
The Fire Management Program works closely with Tohono O’odham Nation Natural Resources Program to ensure the protection of cultural sites and the natural plant and wildlife species on the Tohono O’odham Nation.

Hazardous and Wild land Urban Interface (WUI) fuel reduction, fire prevention. Fire mitigation for wildfires/urban interface fires
