Services Provided
The Comprehensive Cancer Control (CCC) program is a 5 year grant through the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and seeks to improve the Nation’s contributing factors of cancer through system, policy, and environmental change. The program collaborates with Tohono O’odham Nation’s Departments/Programs as well as outside organization to help complete the grant goals which include cancer screenings, tobacco cessation, patient navigation, education, etc. The program provides cancer prevention presentations and education throughout the Tohono O’odham Nation. The program also hosts and/or collaborated in events such as the Men’s Wellness, Cancer Summit, Early detection Fair, etc. The program has a Program Supervisor and a vacant Health Education Specialist position.p>
